Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Your adventure begins with a 7:30 AM pickup from your hotel or riad in Fez. Set off towards the Sahara Desert, making several stops to explore Morocco’s diverse landscapes and culture.

Ifrane – Discover this charming European-style town, famous for its Swiss-inspired architecture and clean streets.
Cedar Forest (Azrou) – Visit the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, where you can spot Barbary macaques and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
Midelt – Stop for lunch in Midelt, a town known for its apple orchards and stunning views of the High Atlas Mountains.
Ziz Valley – Travel through the scenic Ziz Valley, home to one of the largest palm groves in Morocco, and enjoy breathtaking views of its lush green oasis.
Erfoud – A quick stop in Erfoud, known for its fossils and as the gateway to the Sahara.

Upon arrival in Merzouga, you’ll leave your luggage at a local hotel and prepare for an unforgettable camel trek. Ride across the rolling Erg Chebbi dunes, stopping to admire the golden sunset. Arriving at your desert camp, enjoy a delicious Berber dinner under the stars, followed by traditional music and drumming around the campfire.

Day 2: Merzouga – Back to Fez

Rise early to experience the breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara, a magical sight as the dunes glow in warm hues. After breakfast, ride your camel or take a 4x4 transfer back to Merzouga.

Begin your return journey to Fez, passing through the Ziz Valley, Midelt, and cedar forests. Enjoy scenic stops along the way and have lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense).

Arrive in Fez by late afternoon, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or riad, bringing your 2-day desert adventure to a close.
